Being aware of our own constant and obsessive negativity is the first tip to help with controlling anxiety. Many that suffer from anxiety can be very pessimistic, which in fact increases the amount of stress we feel on a day to day basis. The second tip is to stop being a perfectionist. If you are the type of person who has to have everything exactly the way you think it should be, and that everything has a very specific place, you are going to cause more stress for yourself again. Not everything has to be 100% perfect 100% of the time. Be willing to let those things go, open up, and start to enjoy things a little bit more.
The third tip is to stop over analyzing things so much. Often times we can cause anxiety and incredible amounts of stress in our lives because we think too much about things that don’t require that much time and energy. Someone may say something to us that is completely harmless with no underlying meaning, and we will analyze what they said to death and come up with a hundred different things that we think ‘they meant’ when they said what they did.
