Relaxation Music And Meditation

There are so many types of relaxation music that is difficult for some of us to make a decision about what type of relaxation music works best for us. However, there are reasons why some types of relaxation music are more relaxing than others.

Both science and the experience of many people point to the usefulness of relaxation music that is embedded with either binaural beats or isochronic tones. Binaural beats and isochronic tones are specially generated sounds that alter your brainwave frequencies.

Simply by listening to relaxation music embedded with either isochronic tones or binaural beats your brainwaves can be changed in such a way that you actually experience the benefits of the accompanying brainwave state that the binaural beats or isochronic tones help induce in you.

Maybe an example will help. When you are busy during the day you are generally at the beta level between, say, 13 hz and 30 hz. To get at a relaxed alpha level very quickly you can lie on your back, put on some stereo headphones, and listen to an mp3 or cd embedded with either isochronic tones or binaural beats. If they are set at an alpha frequency level then you will experience a very relaxed state of mind, similar to a pre-meditation state of mind, depending on how long you listen, and how deep the binaural beats or isochronic tones take you.

Maybe relaxation is hard for you as well the motivation to meditate. Relaxation music embedded with either binaural beats or isochronic tones may be just the thing for you. Such relaxation music will gradually train your mind to become more relaxed. And as you experience the results, and your brain is retrained, you will look forward to times of quiet every day.

It is worth noting that binaural beats and isochronic tones without some kind of soothing music mixed in can be kind of dull to listen to (although some brainwave enthusiasts prefer plain binaural beats or isochronic tones rather than music backed versions.)

Although it is more motivating to listen to musically backed versions of binaural beats or isochronic tones it is not necessarily all about how nice the music sounds. Rather it is about the effectiveness of the actual binaural beats or isochronic tones embedded into the music. They are therapeutic to listen to and, can change you mind, and your life in the same way as does years of meditation practice. But when listing to relaxation music embedded with binaural beats or isochronic tones there is no need to wait years or decades to experience results.
